Introduction to your Tour Leader:
Johan Appelgryn has been involved with 4x4 tours as a hobby since 1993 and working as a tour guide permanently since 2000. Johan is also a qualified diesel and petrol mechanic and has been rebuilding and restoring 4x4's since 1990, making him a valuable asset when guiding tours in remote areas of Southern Africa. Johan also provides 4x4 driver and recovery training for those Adventurers who would like to enhance their experience and skill before embarking on a 4x4 excursion. Johan is a 4x4 enthuisiast who is currently driving a Toyota Hi Lux, and is also familiar with other types of 4x4 vehicles and enjoys driving Land Cruisers, Colts and Jeeps.... basically any 4x4 vehicle!
Johan was trained in the essential Tour Guide courses & basic First Aid Training provided by Masazane Expeditions - Dave (GP0838) and Jacqui (GP0773) van Graan.
Hi Adventure 4x4 Eco-Tours
The company has been hosting 4x4 Eco Tours, Fishing Trips and Diving Trips since 2000. We also provide Game viewing and Bird Watching tours for the avid, professional and enthuisiatic photographers. A selection of destinations are available including longer tours to Botswana, Mozambique, Malawi, Zambia, Caprivi as well as weekend getaways to more local destinations in Southern Africa.
For the Enjoyment of your Hi Adventure 4x4 Eco Tour you will need:
- A reliable 4x4 vehicle with all the relevent documentation
- Refrigerator or cooler box
- All camping equipment
- Snacks and your own refreshments
- Your camera, video camera and binoculars
- Insect repellent
- Flash light (battery operated torch)
- All your own cutlery
- Passports (where needed) including for children
What Hi Adventure 4x4 Eco-Tours Supplies:
- Highly skilled and experienced tour guide
- All bookings for accomodation
- All main meals
- Two-way radio communication for every 3rd or 4th vehicle
- First timers receive on-route driver training
- Highly technical mechanical assistance
- High safety standards
- Basic first aid equipment
- All recovery equipment
- Short history of information on area where the tour is taking place
- 4x4 Vehicle for hire (with more than 300 vehicles to choose from in the fleet)
- Camping trailer for hire with all the neccessties that would be required
- Camping equipment available for hire.

Reservations
To make your reservation, please email or fax your enquiry. Please note that confirmation of your reservation will only be forwarded to you once you have made payment of 50% deposit of your total tour amount. Final payment must be made at least 4 weeks prior to the tour date, so that the final programme can be forwarded to you 3 weeks in advance of the tour.

Cancellations
Please note that should you cancel your reservation within 30 days of the tour date, a cancellation fee of 25% will be charged to you - and the closer to the date you cancel you will not be refunded because all monies to the camping/lodges would have already been paid by us, and cannot be refunded.
